Taylor Swift is an extremely talented singer-songwriter whose first album the self titled Taylor Swift shot up the Country Music charts soon after it's release on October 24, 2006.
Who would have thought that a 16 year old Country Singer Songwriter could have a huge hit with her debut album, but Taylor Swift did just that, reaching fifth place in the Billboard Top 200, and staying at the top of the Country Album Charts for 24 weeks in a row.
Not only was her debut album an enormous success, it gave rise to 5 hit singles, the first of which Tim McGraw firmly establishing her as a talent to be reckoned with. After that there followed Teardrops On My Guitar, then Our Song, this track Picture To Burn and finally, Should've Said No.
Taylor Swift is not only a highly talented singer and songwriter, she is a charismatic drop dead gorgeous blonde, a combination that has let to her quickly reach superstar status. Her music easily crosses over from Country to Pop, and as such her fan base has quickly spread worldwide and she is well known outside of the Country Music genre.
