Kashmir by Led Zeppelin

Kashmir is one of the most played tracks from the extensive Led Zeppelin collection, and appeared originally on their now legendary 1975 album Physical Graffiti and is ranked as one of the top 50 classic rock songs of all time.

The song actually took three years to complete, the lyrics being originally penned in 1973 by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, and the score gradually came together with help from fellow band member John Bonham. I don't think there are any Led Zeppelin fans who feel that the waiting was well worthwhile. the full story of how Kashmir came to be can be found on Wikipedia, it's an interesting bit of Led Zeppelin trivia.

The double album Physical Graffiti was released in February 1975 and is Led Zeppelin's 6th studio album. As well as Kashmir, the album contains other Led Zeppelin classics such as "The Rover", "Houses Of The Holy" and "Trampled Underfoot".
