Angelina Jolie Is One Of Hollywood's Hottest Actresses

Angelina Jolie is not only one of the most beautiful women alive, she is also a very talented actress and the champion of a number of humanitarian causes worldwide.

On this page you can find reviews of Angelina Jolie's movies plus ways to buy them on DVD and Blu-ray. There is also a selection of Angelina Jolie collectable items such as autographed photographs and also Angelina Jolie posters.

It's hard to believe that there is anyone who hasn't heard of Angelina Jolie, but how much do you really know about her, other than her looks and her role as Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider movies?

Angelina Jolie is the daughter of Jon Voight, who is best known for his lead role in the 1969 movie Midnight Cowboy. She was born Angelina Jolie Voight on 4th June 1975.

Her first acting role was alongside her father in Lookin' To Get Out at the age of 6, but it wasn't until 1995 that she got her first leading role, in the movie Hackers.

Angelina won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the 1999 movie Girl Interrupted, but it was her role as Lara Croft in the movie Lara Croft : Tomb Raider that really set her on the map.

The 2005 movie Mr. & Mrs Smith in 2005 was a huge success, and teamed her up with Brad Pitt, who she is now living with.

You would never guess that at the age of 14 Angeline had dreams of becoming a funeral director, and used to go around dressed in black.

Most people are aware of her more recent roles in movies such as The Bone Collector in which she starred with Denzel Washington, Gone In Sixty Seconds co-starring with Nicolas Cage, and she was also the voice of Lola in the 2004 animated movie Shark Tale and Master Tigress in the 2008 animated movie Kung Fu Panda.

It seems that as Angelina Jolie gets older she just gets hotter, and one of her hottest roles was as Olympias, the mother of Colin Farrell in the 2004 movie Alexander. The movie itself had a rough ride with the critics for it's focus on homosexuality, but throughout the movie Angelina Jolie just smouldered.

As well as being one of Hollywood's best known actresses, Angelina Jolie is also the United Nations High Commissioner For Refugees and she has done a lot of humanitarian work in third world countries.

Angelina first became aware of the scope of the humanitarian crises in the world when she was in Cambodia filming the first Tomb Raider movie. She has since visited many third world countries, and donated millions of dollars in aid.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (popularly known as "Brangelina") have three children of their own, as well as having adopted three more from third world countries.

Salt

Salt (2010)

Angelina Jolie plays an experienced and highly respected CIA agent, Evelyn Salt, that is until something happens which upsets the applecart.

When a Russian spy tells the CIA that there is a plot to assassinate the Russian President during a visit to New York and names the assassin as Evelyn Salt, she has no alternative but to go into hiding while she attempts to prove her innocence and of course to stop the assassination.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)

It's hard to believe this great movie was released almost 10 years ago! It has to rank as one of the most enjoyable movies I have seen with the stunningly gorgeous Angelina Jolie.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith is the movie that not only sees Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie playing a married couple on screen, it also launched their real life relationship.

In this movie, they seemingly live a normal married life in the suburbs, but unknown to her husband, Angelina Jolie is a spy. However, unbeknown to her, Brad Pitt is too.

The plot thickens when the two agencies that they work for order hits on them. The fun begins when each one finds out who their target is.

Gone In 60 Seconds (2000)

Gone in 60 Seconds is a movie that you will love if you are into car chases and special effects, as well as the "hot chick" that is as tough as the guys.

With a terrific cast that includes Nicholas Cage, Angelina Jolie, Giovani Ribisi, Robert Duvall and ex-footballer turned actor Vinnie Jones, this is a high speed drama that was successful enough to spawn a number of sequels.

The Tourist (2010)

It seems that every movie Angelina Jolie appears in has to have suspense and action, and The Tourist is no exception.

In The Tourist, Angelina Jolie plays the role of a woman who is on the run from the law as well as from the mob, having stolen a large amount of money from them.

Having boarded a train to Venice, Italy, where she has planned to meet up with her accomplice, she meets an American tourist, played by Johnny Depp, and tricks the police into thinking that he is her lover and trying to throw them off the scent.

This is an adventure with a lot of twists and turns, and watching the movie without having read the plot you will almost certainly have no idea how it's going to end up.

The Tourist is not rated by the critics as being one of Angelina's best movies, but it's definitely worth watching, especially if you are a fan of her as well as Johnny Depp.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)

Movies that are based on video games are more often than not forgettable and they don't perform well at the box office, but Lara Croft Tomb Raider is a rare exception to the rule.

I think that the success of this movie is due to a number of factors, not the least being that Angelina Jolie played the lead role. Epic adventures like this and the Indiana Jones series have been and probably always will be extremely popular, so combine this with a decent story line, good direction and you have a recipe for success.

Did you know that her real father, Jon Voight, played the role of her dead father in this movie?
